I was born in Tokyo, Japan and had lived there until 1998 but now I live in the U.S.A. with my husband, daughter and son. I cook Japanese food almost everyday for my family with everyday ingredients. When my family and I came to the US, I was so disappointed because there was nothing I wanted to eat. When I shopped at the supermarket, I was shocked. It was completely different from Japan. Although I was disappointed, I had to at least try to make the kind of meals my family likes, so I bought meat, rice and veggies to make a tasty Japanese meal. That proves that you can do anything by using imagination.
